Ethical Fee Sharing and Co-Counsel Arrangements
We honor referral and co-counsel agreements consistent with the North Carolina Rules of Professional Conduct, including Rule 1.5(e), which permits the division of legal fees between lawyers in different firms if:
- The division is in proportion to the work performed, or both lawyers assume joint responsibility for the matter;
- The client agrees to the arrangement in writing; and
- The total fee is reasonable.
We are committed to maintaining open communication, respecting existing attorney-client relationships, and ensuring ethical and professional collaboration.
